About The V50 Wall System
What is the V50 Wall System?
The V50 is our architectural wall system: an adjustable, aluminum-frame demountable wall built for commercial interiors. It ships with matching doors, so the wall and the entry read as one designed system instead of two separately sourced products. We manufacture it domestically in the United States and keep it in stock, which is what drives our shorter lead time compared to made-to-order systems.
What glass thicknesses work with the V50 system?
Our V50 frame accepts 3/8", 1/2" glass. That range covers most standard office applications, from lighter interior partitions to heavier, more acoustically demanding installations, without switching to a different frame system.
How much floor irregularity can the V50 system handle?
Our frame compresses by 1 inch or expands by 1-1/8 inch, a tolerance range of plus or minus 1.25 inches. Combined with our master leveling system, this handles most out-of-level floor conditions without shims or on-site field cuts.
What's the maximum ceiling height for the V50 system?
We install the V50 up to 10 feet. If your project has taller ceilings, bring that to us early so we can do a project-specific review before the system gets specified.
What finish and door options does the V50 system offer?
We offer industrial and contemporary frame finishes, with custom options available for branded or design-led spaces. Our doors match the wall system and come in three mullion styles with multiple wood finish choices.
Working with Us
Where are we based, and where do we install?
We're a New Jersey-based architectural wall manufacturer working with architects, general contractors, and commercial project teams across New York City, New Jersey, Westchester, and Connecticut.
How long does it take to get our wall system on site?
We commit to a 5 week timeline from order to on-site delivery, since our V50 system ships from stock rather than being built to order. That's meaningfully faster than the 8-12 week lead times common for made-to-order architectural wall systems.
Who do we typically work with on a project?
We work directly with architects and general contractors during design and value engineering, then stay involved through delivery and installation. We're industry veterans with hands-on manufacturing experience, which is why we get brought in early on projects rather than just at the install phase.
Do we offer support beyond the wall system itself?
Yes. We're a full project partner on your office build-out, not just a materials supplier. We're involved in design input, value engineering, delivery coordination, and installation support.
What markets or building types do we serve?
We work on commercial and corporate office interiors, plus retail and healthcare projects.
Demountable Walls vs. Other Options
What's the difference between a demountable wall and a permanent (drywall) partition?
Our demountable V50 system assembles from framed components that can be disassembled, relocated, and reused. A drywall partition is built in place and gets demolished, not relocated, when a space is reconfigured. That's why demountable systems show up more often in commercial leases where the floor plan is expected to change.
Is a demountable wall considered a tenant improvement in a NYC lease?
Generally, no. Because our system isn't fixed to the building structure, it functions as a relocatable asset rather than a permanent improvement. That matters at lease end: tenant improvements attached to the structure typically revert to the landlord, while our system can come down clean and move with you to the next space.
Do we need a DOB permit to install a demountable wall system in NYC?
Freestanding systems like ours that don't attach to the building structure typically avoid the permitting and Department of Buildings filing required for permanent construction. Permit requirements still depend on your specific building and scope, so confirm with your architect or GC on a project-by-project basis.
How do we compare to other NYC wall system providers?
Where competitors like Benhar Office Interiors and TagWall lead with product breadth across multiple manufacturer partnerships, we lead with a single in-stock system and a shorter lead time. The tradeoff is fewer configuration options in exchange for a faster, more predictable schedule — a fit for projects where timeline certainty matters more than catalog range.
Getting Started
How do I get a quote?
Reach out through our quote request form with your project scope, timeline, and floor plan. Architects and GCs can also loop us in during design development to get our input on the wall system before drawings are finalized.
What do we need to scope a project?
Floor plan or layout drawings, ceiling height, target install date, and any acoustic or fire-rating requirements specific to your space. The earlier this comes in relative to your design timeline, the more our 5 week stocked lead time can work in your favor.
Can we work on a compressed schedule?
Our in-stock model is built for exactly that. Because our materials aren't made to order, we can commit to a 5 week on-site timeline in situations where a made-to-order system would push 8-12 weeks. Confirm current lead times directly with us, since stock levels and current backlog can shift that number.
What happens to the wall system at the end of a lease?
Because our V50 system is demountable, it disassembles and can relocate with you rather than getting demolished at lease end. Our certified installers handle the disassembly, relocation, and reassembly.
